Wrapped Up now comes as Standard

Another year, another Evening Standard Christmas insert. We knew it was coming and fortunately we didn't have to wait long, especially as 'Black Friday' is almost upon us (Thanks for that America, nothing like instilling some Pre-December Christmas shopping panic). We know it's not technically an ad, but it's more of a nostalgia thing for us here now.

Lots of CAWU sightings coming in so expect an influx of posts. Many thanks to Chris Fielder for taking the photo.

TV finally wrapped up

Like Romeo & Juliet, Smokey & the Bandit or a duo of Turtle Doves, Sellotape and 'Christmas All Wrapped Up' were always destined to be together and we're glad to say it doesn't disappoint. As the first CAWU TV Ad of the Year (and first one we've seen since we started this) 12 Days of Christmas is a slightly minimalist interpretation that fully shows off the USP of Sellotape and we think it's all the better for it. You'll be humming this for hours afterwards.

All Wrapped Up

Well done Dean for finding this, it's nice to finally tick off a 'blatant use of the line in a TV Ad' on the list of media channels that All Wrapped Up has featured in.

Posh Wrapping Paper

As December approaches we have two bits of exciting news.

Firstly, we move up the social ladder as Fortnum & Mason succumb to the CAWU line. It's a glorious Dickensian themed Christmas web-image which really warms the cockles. Carrots for Rudolph and Milk (and possibly Whiskey and Exotic Fruit jellies) for Santa. A big 'Ghost of Christmas Present' hug to Anna Pinckernelle for remembering us at CAWU towers and sending it on.

I said we had two bits of news and well, you're just going to have to wait for the second bit. I will tell you though, we have our first TV ad! (squeal of excitement).

Let the wrapping begin...

Merry Christmas All Wrapped Up 2013,

Now in our third year, CAWU is a little bit older and wiser. However, that means the next generation of fresh faced creatives are discovering the wonders of this line for the first time and realising that those four little words can make life so much easier when it comes to selling and marketing at Christmas. Which is great news for us, hopefully we'll be seeing it all over the place over the next 6 weeks.

So (a bit later than last year), I pronounce 'CAWU 2013 officially OPEN.

SFX: 'snip'

Two great spots from a new contributor. Thanks very much for Kimberley Baxter for finding both of these, although we do wonder who gets the gift from Peacocks and who get's the nice present?
